Located on a busy street corner in the heart of historic downtown Fayetteville WV, the Vandalian is surrounded by the natural beauty of the New River Gorge. Our casual setting allows visitors and locals to look out at the town and passersby, while enjoying a delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
The Vandalian offers a contemporary interpretation on American dining, serving meals inspired by the diverse cuisines we love. We have a passion for seeking out the highest quality ingredients for the best tasting food. From our Angus beef to our tuna steaks to our waffles, customers rave that they’ve never had better.
At the Vandalian we value our relationship with farmers. By working with the Fayette County Farmers Market and West Virginia Department of Agriculture we are able to buy local ingredients, supporting local sustainable agriculture and rural communities.
Breakfast
You can start your morning at the Vandalian with anything from local farm fresh eggs and apple wood smoked bacon, to breakfast burritos, waffles and pancakes, a variety of bagel sandwiches, omelets, and home fried potatoes.
We are proud to serve Mattie’s Mountain Mud Coffee made with our triple-filtered water. Or you may choose a chai latte, juice, or Kusmi Tea.
Lunch
We offer unique appetizers such as a quinoa salad, chorizo-stuffed hungarian peppers, and a lovely cheese platter.
Our simply great sandwiches include a BLT, club, hot ham and cheese, grilled cheese, and a reuben, all made with fresh ingredients and homemade spreads.
Other lunch options include several burger choices made with highest-quality Angus beef, delicious sandwiches, and two kinds of burritos.
Salad lovers will appreciate our fine salad selections with fresh greens and delicious topping combinations.
Dinner
Vandalian dinners are specially prepared with many local and seasonal ingredients, balancing flavors and employing skillful cooking techniques to present beautiful, flavorful dishes. We welcome you to come eat, drink, and savor your meal with us.
Appetizers include: quinoa salad, chorizo-stuffed hungarian peppers, and a cheese platter with salami, crackers, and fruit. All of our 8oz. signature hamburgers are avaliable for dinner as well as lunch. Our dinner entrees include Curry-seared Tiger Shrimp, Hanger Steak, Spicy Chicken, Catch of the Day, Pasta Dishes in addition to daily and weekly specials.
